"Let’s say if [Hawken] was a boxed good, let’s say half a million copies sold. That would be really good for us. But for a big corporation, three million sales/copies would be like a failure, or a barely breaking-even point for them. I think if they see that there’s financial rewards in making mech games, and if the audience out there is supporting it, then it’ll be coming back."

I loved this movie. And not just because I like funny bears.
Okay that was a big part of why I loved this movie.

Now he’s just being a dick.
Definitely gonna look for this book at Comic-Con next week.
I’ve posted about this artbook before but since I’m looking at all this Yoshida Akihiko.. though I’ve not been able to figure out definitively which of these are done by Masao Tsubasa and which are done by Yoshida. My understanding is that Yoshida did the original designs for the snes game and the tarot cards and Masao did much of the promotional artwork for this and MAYBE these??? I am not sure.
Anyways, this book is amazing, and you should buy it. It’s expensive; I don’t buy artbooks like this as a rule but I bought this one. It’s great because it’s got sketches and process stuff in it as opposed to only finishes. If you live near a Kinokuniya pick it up!
“I didn’t do it!”
Brilliant movie. One of the all-time greatest.
